The ability to adjust the lacing and the distance between the two quarters makes the Country an ideal shoe for those with wide feet or high insteps because it facilitates fitting.

This model is made of polished leather with a brushed finish to achieve a soft, smooth, and grain-free upper surface. This model, with a wingtip toe, is also called Brogue due to the presence of ornamental perforations. A little curiosity: these holes have a very humble functional origin as they allowed water to drain out of the shoes while working in the fields. Only in the 1930s were they introduced in England as elegant decorations, called "broguings".
