Description

The origins of this type of footwear seem to date back to the Olympic Games when athletes wore specific footwear very similar to sneakers. The first real sneaker with the shape of the rubber sole glued to the upper dates back to the 19th century. The process was later perfected by Charles Goodyear.

1 - LEATHER

Calf leather.

2 - SOLE

The rubber sole with box stitching makes the attachment to the upper more robust.

The Stoccolm sneaker is made with calf leather and a rubber sole with box stitching, used to make the attachment to the upper more robust. The union between the upper and the sole, called "fixing," is one of the most important processes among the many necessary for the construction of a shoe and consists of sewing the edge of the sole to the upper in such a way as to mitigate the risk of separation and ensure excellent sturdiness.

Each creation keeps the promise made by our craftsmen: to innovate the company while fully respecting the Italian shoemaking tradition. The story of Mille885 is an authentic Italian story, made to be told.
